What we do
We specialise in developing and implementing sustainability strategies in the areas of biodiversity, circularity, and climate change. We are experienced in navigating the organisational change that's often required to embed sustainability into strategy and operations. We also lead complex multi-stakeholder programs with a strong focus on ecosystem restoration. Below you'll find a selection of our recent projects.
Stedin - Interim ESG manager
In 2023, Daan Helming joined Dutch grid operator Stedin as interim sustainability manager, following earlier work as project lead for the biodiversity strategy. Together with internal teams, Daan worked to embed ESG thinking more deeply across the organization, align ambitions, and support long-term strategic development in the sustainability domain.
KPN - CSR Strategy
KPN has set clear sustainability goals, including becoming net zero by 2040 and transitioning toward circular operations. We worked alongside the sustainability team to translate these ambitions into a strategic roadmap. Together, we designed a transformation program for executive leadership, turning long-term goals into actionable pathways.
KPN - Green Fiber Hub
We teamed up with KPN and Naturalis to bring to life the Netherlands' first nature-inclusive fiber-optic hub. This collaborative project explored what nature-inclusive design means in practice, resulting in a functioning hub that supports local biodiversity and serves as an inspiring blueprint for other utility buildings.
Stedin - Biodiversity Strategy
Together with Stedin’s sustainability and asset teams, we helped shape the company’s approach to biodiversity. We co-developed a shared ambition, identified priority areas, and laid the groundwork for practical implementation. This collaboration marked an important step in embedding nature-inclusive thinking in infrastructure planning.
KPN - Biodiversity Strategy
In close collaboration with KPN, we helped bring biodiversity into focus as a key sustainability theme. Together, we developed a practical strategy and supported its rollout across infrastructure and procurement processes — connecting ecological insight with operational decisions.
Collectief Natuurinclusief
As domain lead for infrastructure within Collectief Natuurinclusief, we contribute to a growing movement that integrates nature into everyday life — from housing and mobility to infrastructure. Together with public and private partners, we help shape the strategy and dialogue needed for a nature-inclusive future.
Alliander - Biodiversity Strategy
With Alliander, we co-developed a comprehensive biodiversity strategy aligned with its broader sustainability ambitions. Together, we defined targets, timelines, and governance structures, and ensured alignment with CSRD (ESRS E4) requirements. The result is a practical roadmap that turns ecological intent into everyday action.
Collectief Natuurinclusief
Analysis of the potential for biodiversity measures for low voltage infrastructure. Together with Witteveen+Bos we analysed measures, and assessed stakeholder support to include measures in design, implementation and maintenance processes.
One Acre Fund - Carbon SPV
We supported the set-up of a SPV (foundation) that to channel carbon credit revenues from agroforestry projects in East Africa to smallholder farmers. The foundation sits between carbon credit buyers and implementing organisations, ensuring financial flows are transparent, legally ring-fenced, and mission-aligned.
Alliander - CO2 Governance
As Alliander explored how to meet future climate regulations and align with SBTi, we worked together to design a new governance approach for CO₂ and climate policy. Our collaboration resulted in a CSRD-proof transition plan that clarifies roles, structures, and decision-making pathways — ready to be implemented within the organization.
Enexis - ESG Strategy
We partnered with Enexis’s strategy and CSR teams to co-create a tailored ESG and sustainability strategy. Our work spanned impact analysis, roadmap design, governance structure, and stakeholder alignment. Together, we laid the foundation for both operational integration and long-term ambitions.
Alliander - Biodiversity KPIs
Together with Alliander we developed a set of KPIs and governance frameworks and processes to monitor, measure and manage biodiversity impact as one of the main strategic ESG subjects. The goal was to create a transparent governance framework that would allow Alliander to include the subject in ESG reporting.
